Let's Celebrate

Tonight, let's drink.

I'd like to propose a toast!

To celebrating. Simply celebrating. Life can be a shit can and it can be cold. But there are certain things we find in friends, brothers - by blood and memories, intriguing strangers, paintings, music, women, never ending streams, oasis-like ponds, and other hidden treasures. Tonight, we drink to all those things that can at least remind us that it's not all shit.

Here to help us celebrate:

AA Bondy - American Hearts

AA Bondy can rip a mean riff on his guitar and harmonica while belting out lyrics that are ripe with meaning. This is a great song.

Band of Horses - No One's Gonna Love You

Band of Horses came out with this new album last year. Ben Bridwell's vocals are haunting whether he's singing about a funeral or a girl he is confident that no one can love as well as him.

Mazzy Star - Asleep From Day (With the Chemical Brothers)

I love the music that lingers in the background as Mazzy Star recites such colorful lyrics.

The Beatles - Yer Blues

The Beatles - Oh Darlin

The Beatles are always good. Here are a couple of good songs. Oh Darlin is a classic. Yer Blues is a fantastic, little bit harder, blues song. Check them out.

Counting Crows - When I Dream of Michelangelo

I haven't heard anything from Counting Crows in a while. While I don't like everything that Counting Crows does, I do enjoy their slower and less musical my lyrically driven songs. This ones good.

Cheers!
